Having always been less athletically-inclined than his peers, Taylor Nguyen found the sport of Ultimate unusually engaging during his senior year of high school in 2014. He later took this interest to Old Dominion University, where he joined their club team.

Here, Taylor expanded his interest in photography. Experienced in photojournalism from his time as Photography Editor for high school yearbook The Pride and newspaper work with ODU Mace and Crown, he brought his camera to every tournament that he could to give back to the team.

After transferring to community college, Taylor met Pete Guion, where he was first introduced to UltiPhotos. Taylor started slowly with local tournaments, and was humbled by the opportunity to cover big name events like Club Nationals 2016.

Outside of Ultimate, Taylor shoots commercial work for obstacle course races (OCR), running events, and virtual reality tours.

While not traveling as much as he can through points and miles, Taylor plays in local pickup and seasonal leagues.

Taylor grew up and currently lives just outside of Richmond, Virginia.
